Intro

ELC London Hampstead, located in the exclusive, leafy area of Hampstead in central London, is one of the foremost English language schools in the city. Within walking distance of one of London's best-preserved old villages, with all the excitement that London has to offer on its doorstep, ELC London Hampstead is the perfect location to study an English language course while exploring Britain’s vibrant capital.

Our school

Our London Hampstead school offers excellent facilities including 41 classrooms, a large computer room with 24 computers, giving fast and efficient Internet access; a well-stocked library containing DVDs, books, magazines, worksheets and specially selected listening materials; a canteen that serves hot and cold food throughout the day and two beautiful outdoor patios for students to relax and socialise in.

Studios

We have a variety of studio apartments available for students to stay on a self-catering basis for students who want complete independence while still being taken care of by us.

Homestay accommodation

Stay with a local family – living in a private home gives you even more contact with English speakers and a real insight into life in London.

Student residences

Stay in student residence with shared kitchen / restaurant facilities and social spaces, offering independence as well as a real international experience with fellow students. 

Hotels

For students who prefer the comfort of a hotel or guesthouse, we have a range of hotel accommodation in the local area to suit different budgets that we can recommend.

Rented rooms

Renting a room is an independent, inexpensive option, recommended to students who would like the comfort of a home, while having the freedom to live independently.

General English

We can offer General English courses suitable for all levels and abilities, which focus on improving students’ vocabulary, pronunciation, speech, writing and confidence in English

Cambridge Exams

Our Cambridge Examination courses will prepare you with the skills necessary for these globally recognised exam papers – reading, writing, use of English, listening and speaking.

IELTS

The Academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Examination is essential if you wish to study at a British University or College. The examination consists of four parts – speaking, listening, reading and writing. The ELC IELTS examination course will prepare you in all four areas.

TOEFL

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a test for students who wish to apply to an American or European educational institution. Many companies and organisations also require a TOEFL score to indicate your level of English. This course prepares you for the examination and also provides general training in study skills.

TOEIC

TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a test for students in certain countries who plan to study at university, or for professionals who require a TOEIC score to improve their career prospects. This course prepares you for the examination and also provides general training in study skills.

Business English

Our Business English courses concentrate on improving your English for use in a business environment. It’s ideal for those studying business or planning to work in a job that will require a good command of the English language.

Cultural Programmes

Our ‘English plus Excursions’ and ‘50+ Culture Course’ options give students of all ages the opportunity to combine General English with a programme of daily cultural excursions around London’s most famous sights.

English for Professionals

Our English for Professionals courses are targeted at business executives whose first language is not English. Working one-to-one with a tutor, or in a small group, this course is tailored to the students’ needs and designed to deliver accelerated progress.
